AF COVER STRING is a rock-wool cylinder covered with aluminium foil with a longitudinal cut that enables its opening.

  • Appearance: cylindrical rock-wool element covered with aluminium;
  • Inside diameter: 30 mm;
  • Outside diameter: 70 mm;
  • Height: 50 mm;
  • Weight: 16 g/pc;

Direct Application

  • Mixed systems in REI mineral fibre false ceilings;
  • Mixed systems in EI membrane false ceilings.

Certifications

    • Class REI 120 (EN 1365-2) reinforced concrete floor protected by a fibre false ceiling;
    • Class EI 120 (EN 1366-3) membrane false ceilings.

    The product remains unchanged if kept under normal storage conditions.

    Specification

    Supply and application of AF COVER STRING firestop protections consisting of an aluminised rock wool cylinder and AF SEAL W fireproof sealant for REI 120  requalification of fireproof composite, and EI 120 membrane false ceiling containing small penetrations.

    Application Method

    1. place AF COVER STRING around the element to be protected in the false ceiling;
    2. place the element in the false ceiling;
    3. inject the AF SEAL W sealant into the cylinder until it is filled.
