AF COLLAR - New ETA Certification

Firestop collar for mechanical and electrical system penetrations

AF COLLAR is a firestop collar certified under EN 1366-3 up to EI 240 sealing of mechanical and electrical system penetrations in walls and floors.

The external stainless steel structure can be applied in humid environments while the intumescent strip with high expansive capacity can secure large elements, up to a maximum outer diameter of 600 mm for combustible pipes and 250 mm for insulated metal pipes.

AF COLLAR, MADE TO LAST

The new document updates and introduces:
✅ EI60 sealing for 80mm thick flexible walls;
➡️ thickness reduction from 120mm to 100mm for flexible walls, for sealing up to EI120;
✅ self-supporting sealing with a thickness of 30mm (EI60) and 50mm (EI120);
✅ horizontal/vertical support in Xlam;
➡️ sealing up to EI240 on horizontal / vertical supports;
✅ sealing of plant penetrations through 50mm thick ceiling support structure;
➡️ durability: 25 years, the maximum that can be tested;
➡️ category Y1: high humidity (>85%), exposure to critical temperatures even below 0°C (-20 to +70°C), direct exposure to UV radiation;
➡️ possibility of attaching the collar directly to AF Panel, by means of so-called ‘pigtail’ screws.
